This weeks Rainbow Snippet is taken from my new WIP – Tokyo Nights – a Dark Romance. I plan to release it as a serialised novel, aiming for each finished episode to about 10k.
Tokyo Nights
Follows an undercover cop tasked with bringing down a man who is rising within the ranks of a Yakuza Organisation at an alarming rate and leaving the streets of Tokyo stained in red.
He needed to get in, gather the intel and get out before he winds up dead like the cops who’d tried before him.
But the longer he stays undercover, the less he knows about who he truly is and his loyalties are tested.
Handover the man he was tasked to bring down
or
Abandon the law for a man he should never have fallen love with.
……………………….
Fuck he hoped it worked. He knocked back the last of the whiskey in his glass and signaled the bartender to bring him another. Predatory beast was one way to describe the target, cold-hearted demon – a monster of the worst kind – was another and much more apt. With a beast you had a chance of taming them, controlling them. His target, Tatsuo Ogawa, known for the mutilated bodies left in his wake, would never be tamed. The man spilled blood like it was a sport; a competition to see who could get the highest total and achieve it in the most creative fashion.

Rainbow Snippets is a group for LGBTQ+ authors, readers, and bloggers to gather once a week to share six sentences from a work of fiction–a WIP or a finished work or even a 6-sentence book recommendation (no spoilers please!).
Such a beautifully dark description!

Not someone I would like to meet in a dark alley, let alone a well-lit street!
