ANZAC Day Reading

In New Zealand it’s the 25th, ANZAC Day and many will have gotten up early hours of the morning to attend Dawn Service especially with it being the 100th anniversary since the end of WWI. I was not one. Not because I disagree with it… I just wanted to sleep and there are other ways to remember those who served, those who didn’t return and those who suffered.

I had thought of writing a list of books to read that capture what it was like for those living during the wars. Books that show case the horror, the determination and the grit. Instead I thought I would just share pictures I took in Hiroshima when I visited two years ago with my son and his Japanese class. It was a moving place.
